Meritocratia Life Techs develops controlled-environment cultivation systems and the plant nutrition that goes with them — built from a decade of hands-on work in hydroponics, aeroponics and microbial control.

Three things we do
Cultivation systems
Growing systems for protected environments: media design, irrigation, root-zone climate and structural framing. Developed and tested in our own facility.
Plant nutrition
Media and nutrition formulations, including biological approaches to keeping the root zone healthy rather than sterilising it.
Production
Small-scale, high-value crops grown under cover and sold close to home — starting with microgreens.
Approach
Measure the whole system, not the parts
A plant, a medium and the microbial community in it form one system. None of them behaves the same alone, and a number taken from one of them tells you very little about the other two.
We build systems we can actually observe: where the root zone can be sampled, where a change in nutrition shows up as a measurable difference, and where a bad result is a result.
Background
Biochemistry, applied
The company is founded on a background in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Copenhagen, followed by independent development of hydroponic and aeroponic systems from 2016 onward.
That work has run through bamboo-framed growing towers, chamomile-based media trials, and a sunken greenhouse in Frederiksværk — all of it built by hand before it was written down.
